ANOTHER OLD RESIDENT OF JERILDERIE.
After being in failing health for the past year, Mr. William
Cowhan, aged 74 years, died at Jerilderie Hospital.
A native of Lancefield ( Victoria ), he arrived in Jerilderie
about 41 years ago. He followed, the occupation of a butcher
for many years and later followed droving pursuits.
He is survived by his wife and a family of four daughters
and eight sons. Daughters are: Una ( Mrs. Fitzhenry, of
Brisbane ), Alma ( Mrs. H. Nye, of Mittagong ), Kathleen ( Mrs.
H. Davis, of Junee ), and Lucy ( Jerilderie );
and the sons are :- Roy ( Mittagong ), John ( Yanco ),
Dallas, Stanley, George, Charles, Frank, and Frederick, all
of Jerilderie. Interment was in the Catholic portion of the
Jerilderie Cemetery; Rev. Father O'Neill officiated at the
grave.

ANOTHER OLD RESIDENT OF JERILDERIE.
After being in failing health for the past year, Mr. William
Cowhan, aged 74 years, died at Jerilderie Hospital.
A native of Lancefield ( Victoria ), he arrived in Jerilderie
about 41 years ago. He followed, the occupation of a butcher
for many years and later followed droving pursuits.
He is survived by his wife and a family of four daughters
and eight sons. Daughters are: Una ( Mrs. Fitzhenry, of
Brisbane ), Alma ( Mrs. H. Nye, of Mittagong ), Kathleen ( Mrs.
H. Davis, of Junee ), and Lucy ( Jerilderie );
and the sons are :- Roy ( Mittagong ), John ( Yanco ),
Dallas, Stanley, George, Charles, Frank, and Frederick, all
of Jerilderie. Interment was in the Catholic portion of the
Jerilderie Cemetery; Rev. Father O'Neill officiated at the
grave.
