I’ve “rescued” two old photographs of Melvin CALENDAR. The first was taken at the Calendar Studio in Lewisburg. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870’s or 1880’s with Melvin appearing to be about 3 years old at the time it was taken. The second photograph is identified as that of Melvin CALENDAR and Paul DAY and was also taken at the Calendar Studio in Lewisburg, OH in the 1870’s or 1880s’. The two boys are likely about 4-5 years old in this second photograph. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information: Homer W. CALENDAR was a photographer in Champaign County, OH, both in Lewisburg and in Rush Township until sometime after 1870 when he moved his photography business to Springfield, OH where he practiced for over 30 years. Melvin E. CALLENDAR was born in North Lewisburg, OH and moved to Yakima, WA in 1889 and then later to Tacoma, WA. Melvin’s father was Elisha CALLENDAR a banker and investment businessman. Melvin moved to Orting, WA in 1895 where he started a Merchandising business. Melvin also organized the Orting State Bank, then moving to Seattle in 1915. Melvin died in Seattle, WA in 1958 at the age of 86. Melvin’s obituary appeared in the Seattle Daily Times on 10 Jun 1958 and listed his surviving family members as his wife Minnie M. CALLENDAR; a daughter Mrs. Edgar SCOFIELD or Tacoma, WA; and three grandchildren. I’m hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

A photo of Dorothy Day and Elizabeth Nourse Goodwin. Found this among my grandmother's (right) belongings. Noted Dorothy Day at the top and August 1938 at the bottom. Grandmother lived in Sacramento and Chico, California and she (and her identical twin) was born in 1919. Maybe somebody out there knows who Dorothy Day is....?

I am researching the family of Ann Rebecca Ketterman Day, Husband George Day was killed in the Civil War. Her children went by Day and Bennett as she lived with a Bennett in Pendleton Co. WV she also had a son Charles Webster Harper on the right. Any information is appreciated.
Portrait taken by A. M. Thompson in Brownsville, PA with 'Belle M. Day, Lagonda, PA' on the back. From a box of old portraits related to Baglins of Washington County, PA, from a garage sale in Westfield, NY.
Cartes de visite (aka CDV) rescued from an estate sale in Longview, TX. On back: W. McClellan, Artistic Photographer (successor to J. R. Davis), 705 Main St., Dallas, Texas. Henry Day is probably somehow related to the Penn family of Morgan Co., Alabama and Hopkins Co., Texas.
This photo of my grandparents, Ben and Bertie Lee (Iser)Day, was taken on their wedding day.

This is a photo of my grandfather, Benjamin P. Day. There is a marriage document in Ben Day's ancestry record. It lists his mother as "Ida K" and his father as "Benj P." It took quite a long time to determine that Ida Ketterman was his mother. She was not married to Benjamin P Day but appears to have had two sons by him and two other children by different fathers before her own marriage. My grandfather was born near Macksville in Pendleton County, WV on 26 Nov 1885. He died 6 Feb 1966 in Berlin, Somerset County, PA. He was married to Bertie Lee Iser.

Peg Day and baby Edith Marie, Peg was married to Willard Henry Day (son of my ggreat-aunt Ines Willard Day and her husband Theodore Day). Unknown where photo was taken at, but most of this family line lived in Vermont after 1910's. Photo found in my great-aunt's attic, Rosamond Irey, after she passed away. Just started researching this family line.
