The Drakeley are originally from England, my grandfather was from England but had moved to Winnipeg Canada before World War One, when the war broke out he went back to England and joined the British Army,before he went bac to England he married my grandmother Alice, when the war ended he never came. Back to Canada . My grandmother told my father that he had died in France, but he didn’t, he stayed in England and married his old girlfriend . My father never found out before he died, my father had joined the Canadian Airfoce and was sent to England during World War Two and became a tail gunner in a Lancaster Bomber. He came back to Canada after the war we lived in Winnipeg for three years and then moved to Vancouver. After five years in Vancouver we moved to San Diego California .The reason that I found out about my grandfather was that I started looking for any information about him and I was putting information on the internet, I had a guy from Wales he in touch with me and he told me tha that sounded like his father, and it turns out it was, his name is Malcolm Drakeley and we have sent information back and forth
