Most of the Drascic's in the United States came originally from Buzet, Croatia which is on the Istrian peninsula. They emigrated prior to World War II.  There is a town called Svete Martin near Buzet that used to be called Drascici and is entirely owned by a Drascic family member; it has its own chapel and pizza parlor.
