Unknown ancestor
This is a photo of an oil painting from around 1750, professionally based on hair (powdered) and neckline. It was in my grandparents collection, but I do not recall ever seeing it before I recently received it. It is a mystery, but could be a McNeil or Gilman. Probably painted in New England or Canada. It is on a linen canvas.

I am trying to locate somebody that knows my grandfather Charles Gilman. He lived in Dallas Texas in 1958-59. My mother Carla was born November 1959 to Ofelia. I don't have any other information other than he work in factory as a janatory or machinist with my grandmother. We have been looking for him for 30 years and have come up with little information. Any help or knowledge is greatly appreciated.
