Byron Otis Gooch was born on January 5th, 1908 in Kennebunk, Maine to Otis Emerson Gooch (1880 - 1964) and Alice L. Larrabee (1878 - 1955). He had siblings Ida and William Gooch. Byron O. Gooch married Bernice Viola Shackford (1906 - 1999) and they had two sons, Byron Jr (1925 - 1947) and Carroll (1933 - 2008). Byron died on June 18th, 1979 at the age of 71 after a lengthy illness, in Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Kennebunk, Maine. See Byron Gooch: Obituary.
