In 1905 she married Horace Edward Williams, the manager of a sheep station in Queensland, and they had five children, three of whom survived childhood: Horace Douglas, born in 1906, Charles Rowland, born in 1909, and Sheila. A son between Doug and Charlie died at birth; a son between Charlie and Sheila died of diphtheria aged 4.
