Dr. Phil. und Jur. Alfred Ritter Jurnitschek von Wehrstedt (= Dr. Alfred Ritter von Jurnitschek), an Austrian inventor, weapon businessman and imperial counsellor at Austrian court, born 24th February 1941 in Vienna, since 1877 to 1912 owner of chateau Puchberg bei Wels.
Alfred's brother Dr. Erwin Viktor Jurnitschek, an Austrian businessman, born 5th September 1842 in Vienna, deceased 12 November 1911, married with Ida Krupp, daughter of Hermann Krupp (a businessman and the founder of the Austrian branch of the Krupp family). Their childern: Oskar, Leo, Roland, Felix, Ida Alice.
In 1887 the family of Erwin and Ida Jurnitschek moved to Chur, Switzerland and Dr. Erwin Jurnitschek owned the paints and lacquers factory. In 1900 Dr. Jurnitschek as the president of the Swiss Merchant Association negotiated and concluded the extension of the reciprocal trade with James T. Dubois, Consul General of the United States of America at St. Gall, Switzerland (see A Sample Depot Project in The Evening Times, Washington, Wednesday June 20th 1900).
Dr. Jur. Oscar (Oskar) Jurnitschek (son of Erwin Viktor), born in Vienna 17.6.1870, author of the publication Über Die Wirkliche Entstehung Der Capitalien (1897) refuting the socialist theorem. Married with Cäcilie Clara, countess of Salis de Soglio, died in Tegernau, Schwarzwald, 15.5.1950. Dr. Jur. Oskar Jurnitschek represented the family of Giovanni Segantini in the Swiss citizenship allowance proceeding after the artist's death (see Ambros Sonder in the Swiss e-periodica: "Giovanni Segantini : heimatlos - geduldet - postum geehrt"; the biography to the 20th years of the 20th century and an Oskar's portait in the uniform of the Swiss army during the WWI is also published this work).
At the end of 20th years, in the age nearly 60 years Oskar Jurnitschek moved to Tegernau, Germany. About his life in Tegernau see:
