Between 1843 and 1850 they had 5 children. Johannes Georg Dorotheus Hermann is said to have emigrated in 1869 to America and is listed in the family documents as having died in Baltimore (no specification of which state). There is no official death certificate though, and the death date has been deduced from the phrasing of the inscription of his youngest son's marriage date (Jan 1, 1874) in the church register, where he is mentioned as "weiland"="late".
