Marion attended Davenport and Geneseo, Henry County, Illinois, schools before moving to Geneseo with her mother, Flora, in 1946.
On 14 December 1947, she married Dale Herbert "Red" Keag at Geneseo's First Presbyterian Church of which he was a life-long member. He was born 26 March 1926 on a farm near Geneseo to Andrew Johnston and Edna Pearl Lewis Keag.
Marion was a unit secretary in Moline, Rock Island County, Illinois, at Lutheran Hospital (no longer exists) and Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona.
Dale worked for International Harvester in East Moline, Rock Island County, Illinois, for 39 years. He retired from the maintenance dept. on 30 June 1982. (no longer exists). He died 21 April 2005 at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo, and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery.
He served in the Navy Seabees from 1944-46, he spent many rewarding years working in law enforcement, part-time member of Geneseo Police and later with Henry County Sheriff's Dept.

Family was very important, and he enjoyed Harley riding, fishing, golfing, RVing, bowling team, and Shady Lakes Campground buddies.
