His Great Grandfather emigrated to the US in the 1860's arriving in Chicago and settling in Kankakee Ill. He was a farmer and his son Herman Adolph Kiedaisch was his grandfather. His son Howard Astor Kiedaisch was born in NYC in 1919 and was his father.
