I am trying to find out more of my GG Grandmother Elizabeth S. Lansdown's story. She married William Swafford and had a little daughter Mary A. Jane before her husband left them in Lumpkin County GA to join the Civil War. Elizabeth tragically died before William returned from the war. He took Mary Jane and eventually remarried. We know Elizabeth was born ca 1837 in Georgia, probably Lumpkin Co. This daughter of Elizabeth ultimately married Thomas Benjamin Robinson and the couple moved west to east Texas.

The end of Elizabeth's story can't be written until we find her kin in Georgia. If you know anything about Elizabeth Sophronia Lansdown please email me [contact link]
