This is my husband's uncle, Herbert Irvin Layton Jr and sister, Ethel. He was in the army.

This is my father-in-law, R Van Pruitt, who married Nina (Baber) Layton Pruitt after her husband passed away of cancer at the age of 26. He raised her children as if they were his own and they all loved him. He was a wonderful father. My husband, John is on the left, Gary then Carol.

This is my husband's grandfather, Herbert Irvin Layton. He lived in Harvey West Virginia. He is the husband of Lorena Sears Layton.

This is my husband's grandmother, Lorena Lutticia (Sears) Layton. She was shot and killed by her son-in-law, Robert Dietz who was drunk. She lived in Harvey West Virginia. Born 1/17/1905 in Sommers Co WV, died 2/13/1954 Harvey WV. She had nine children.

This is a picture of my Gr, Gr, Gr, Gr, Grandfather Christopher Layton. He has a lot of history in the LDS church, including colonizer, settler, Patriarch. He helped settle parts of Utah, Arizona and Idaho. He was involved in the group that discovered gold at Sutter's Mill in California. He was in Company C in the Mormon Battalion.

Ground training is done. The men went to Edmonton next to complete air training. My father was a navigator/bombadire, on a Lancaster. I believe these men were training for all aspects of flying.

Thomas Layton, the great grandfather of Phillip Jerome Barteau, was the owner and Pharmacist of T. Layton, and later, T. Layton & Sons Drug Company in Perryville and then at the corner of St. Louis and Grand Avenues in St. Louis, Missouri in the 1880s.
