Peal and smash 3 large potatoes. put 1 teaspoonful salt and 3 teaspoonful sugar over potatoes 2 pints boiling water or enough to cover potatoes
Sprinkl flour enough to cover the water. Add 2 tablespoon of meal over this Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon soda over meal and do not stir. Let stand where very warm over nite. Mix stiff and let raise once in pans and bake. The secret is in keeping the sponge real warm and making real stiff when mixing.
