As her Granddaughter in Law, I was able to watch her navigate the new family into which I was marring. The more we talked and spent time the more I realized, nothing could get past her.
The family secrets of which she was aware. She never said anything disrespectful about any of her family members or in laws. If she wanted you to know something, she would be direct and tell you aside from anyone. She enjoyed our son. He was not afraid of her but enjoyed spending time with her. She was the type of person I wish I would have spent more time with. I believe if you tried to be the bests person you could, she would notice and smile at you. My kids and I moved to Florida and were not there when she passed on. She gave me my only set of Christmas China and I have worship it and will pass it on to my daughters. I wish my family was able to spend more time with her. Grandma had quiet the impact on me. As my kids are older and I am now a grandma, I now know the feeling she had when she looked at the Great Grandchildren with such love.
