1-1/2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. tomato soup
1 tsp. horseradish
4 tsp. instant minced onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. prepared mustard
Mix all ingred. Spread evenly on 1 med. loaf French bread or 6 frankfurter bun halves. Cover edges of bread completely with mixture. Broil about 4” from broiler for 10-12 min. Top with cheese slices. Broil till cheese melts.

1/2 c. hot water
2-1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 c. Crisco - or 2 sticks butter
1 tsp. salt
4 egg yolks
2 or 3 tsp. vanilla
Melt choc. in 1/2 c. water, set aside to cool. Cream sugar, shortening and milk and salt with 4 egg yolks. Add buttermilk, sift flour and soda several times, add to first along with choc. and vanilla. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into batter. Bake 350º for 30-35 min. Makes 3 layers.
Icing:
1 c. white sugar
1 can flake coconut
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. can evap. milk
Nuts
1 egg yolk
Bring to boil, boil 3 min., the sugar, flour, butter, egg yolk and milk. Add coconut and nuts and vanilla. Let cool and spread on cake.
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 c. cooked cushaw
1/4 tsp. cloves
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 can evaporated milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
Mix in order given. Pour in pie shell. Bake 425º for 15 min. Reduce temperature to 350º - Continue baking 45 min. If using frozen pie shells it will make 2 pies.

Combine ingred. in bowl. Fill muffin cups ¾ full. Bake at 375° for 12-15 min. (or for loaves 20 min.).
