The Hon. Wm. Ferguson Massey, 9/20/23. William Ferguson Massey, often known as Bill Massey or "Farmer Bill" (26 March 1856 – 10 May 1925) served as the 19th Prime Minister of New Zealand from 1912 to 1925, and was the founder of the Reform Party. He is widely considered to have been one of the more skilled politicians of his time, and was known for the particular support he showed towards rural interests. Was the son of Siemon Pinkney Crump aka "Uncle Jack" and Caroline "Carrie" Dor Eakin born in Louisiana 3/31/1902 and died 12/30/1963 in Tylor, Texas. Burried in Sholar cemetery next to his wife, which is located on the Shelby and Panola County line. Married Elizebeth Scott 3/3/1923 and she preceded him in death 3/2/1933. They had four sons, Oliver Perry, Jimmy Ray, Samuel Pinkney and Harold Olsen Crump. Shown in the picture with him from L to R is Carrie Crump Massey his sister and James Valras Massey Sr. his brother in law. Photo taken in Houston, Texas on West 25th. street.

Was the son of Henry Clay Massey Jr. and Laura Eudora Smart born 9/5/1900 in Chatham, Louisiana and died 9/5/1987 in Trinity, Texas. Spent over forty years in the Oil Patch. Married Carrie Myrtle Crump of Paxton, Texas in Joaquin, Texas 3/15/1924. Burried Brookside Memorial Park Houston, Texas.

Born in Talladega County Alabama 12/20/1843 and died 12/2/1919 in Weston, Jackson Parish Louisiana. First married to Sarah Cornelia McMillion 10/16/1866 and second to Elizebeth Wilkerson Peddy 8/22/1870.

Was the son of Henry Clay Massey Sr. and Elizabeth Wilkerson Peddy. Born in Jackson Parish Louisiana 2/13/1883 and died 2/9/1942 in Jonesboro Jackson Parish Louisiana. Married Laura Eudora Smart 10/11/1902.

This photo was sent to me by email found in an attic in Ohio.The man looks like my father.I have been told the photo was taken around the civil war era . On the back of photo it just says Granddad Massey maybe some can help me find his name.
