Rita had undergraduate law degree and Masters degree in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos where I lectured her. She worked for the government of Cameroon prior to moving to the United States in the mud 90s. When I visited Cameroon in 1994, she treated me like a King, feted me at her home, with her mom, to the most sumptuous meal I will never forget. Rita was a gentle spirit, kind-hearted and lovable. and loved life. I lost contact with Rita and found out about her passing over a year afterwards. I am still baffled how and why such a remarkable person would die so young. Rita, I commit your soul to your maker with the full confirmation that you were a good spirit here on earth and that I will forever remember you and acknowledge that you passed this way and left a mark. I pray that your gentle and kind soul rest in perfect peace. Amen
