George was born in Sevastopol, Crimea, Russia. At the age of 6 he relocated to Athens Greece with his family. He had a brother who was two years older than him named Pantelis. The name Pantelis originates from “Panteleimon” meaning a person who is merciful to all. The early forties was a bad time for Greece because of WW2. After the war George learned to play the accordion and piano. He was a very pleasant person and had a unique ability to tell stories. Early in his career he joined music bands and played for famous singers in Greece, like Kazantzidis in Nea Ionia, Manolis Hiotis and on some occasions he traveled and played abroad. For instance he had traveled to Israel with Manolis Hiotis and Mary Linda. At some point he went to the USA with a music band (1968)
