BAG SNATCHER.
Mrs. E. Mozar, 69, of Bondi, was robbed of her handbag containing £9 on Saturday night as she was about to enter her front gate.

Woman Fights Bag-Snatcher.
Pluck and presence of mind were shown last night by an elderly woman, when a man grabbed her bag, in Flood- street, Bondi. After alighting from a bus in Old South Head road, Mrs. F. E. Mozar, aged 69 walked into Flood Street where she lives. When near her home, a man grabbed the shopping bag she was carrying. Mrs. Mozar was almost pulled off her feet, but clung to the bag and tugged hard, seeing that she was no match against the strength of the man, she screamed. The man then thrust his hand inside the bag and pulled out her handbag,containing £9 10s. He raced down the street. Police searched the locality, but were unable to find him.

PRIVATE MOZAR.
Private Alwyn W. Mozar, who died of wounds on May 10, was only 21 years of age. He was educated at the Waverley Public School, and after leaving school he entered the employ of The Australian Gaslight Company, Waverley Depot. He was a regular patron of the surf at Bondi, but otherwise his greatest hobby was reading. On the outbreak of war he joined the 2nd Battalion, with which he left for the front. Private Mozar lived with his mother, whose sole support she was, at Leswell street, Woolahra. He has a younger brother, who has gone to the front with the Army Medical Corps, and a cousin of his was also wounded in the first great rush of Australians.

Mr. E. Mozar, of "The Newcastle Sun"advertising staff, was also at the landing.
Unlike Mr. Harman, he can remember the fullest details of the bayonet charges
which took the first cliffs. Mr. Mozar, by the way had a particularly
adventurous war career serving on the Peninsula- no digger calls it Gallipoli-
until the evacuation. He "boxed on"with the infantry in France till Bullecourt,
when he was badly wounded and taken prisoner. He spent the rest of the war in a German prison camp,
an incarceration relieved by several attempts to escape. He was released after the armistice.

SINGAPORE. Thurs. Mr. Ernest George Mozar, a pioneer
in advertising in this country, died here yesterday after a
long illness. He was buried at Bidadari cemetery today.
Mr. Mozar arrived in Singapore in 1927 from Australia
and started Masters Ltd.which subsequently
became one of the largest advertising agencies in the Far East.
Mr. Mozar served with the Australian Imperial
Force at Gallipoli in World War 1 and was interned at Changi during World War 2.
