Origin of the Nadaskai-Nadaskay name:
It's traced the notable surname Nadaskai- to Bohema - mpw part of the Czech Republik, which was initially a Celtic region. They eventually fought against the invasions of the Roman Emperor -Marcus Aurelius in the second century. They moved to Bavaria, and then the Czechs settled in the region in the 6th century.
The surname Nadaskai  has been traced to the region  of Bavaria, where the families contributed greatly to the development of an emerging nation and played a large role in the political conflicts of the area.
The Nadaskai's surfaced in the region: Bohemia, Moravia, silesia and Bavaria, where they continued to be an important contributor to the LIFE of Europe in the Middle Ages. They held significant position of prestige and power, and became involved in regional struggles for political and religious dominance.
Fllowing the "Reformation" the Kingdom of Bohemia-Bavaria fell to the Austria House of Habsburg (Catholic religion), who would rule this area for a next five-hundreds years. Many Nadaskai-s left they homeland - religious conflict - and moved to MISKOLC-KASSA-SAROSPATAK - North-East of Hungary in the 16th century, and they were very dominant in the reformed (Calvinist) religion.
Unfortunatelly it is difficult to find documents, because in this time just a churches had kept documents, but big part of dokuments is misssing, lots of war, the churches burned down or they did not do the proper documentation.

Nationality & Ethnicity

Germany - Around the Main River - Bohemia. The first Nadaskay find in 1200-1300 century, they were involved with the politiks and the Reformed-Calvinist religion. When the Habsburgs Emperor ( they were Romishe Catholics) occupied these area, so they were a religion-war, in the 1600 century a lots of Nadaskay letf they home-town and moved to the neighbour lands. First Nadaskay name was find in 1615 in Kassa/Kosice (in this time Kassa belonged to Hungary), where they were free to practise they Reformed-Calvinist religion. Andras Nadaskay's sons -three of them - were a Reformed Clergyman/Ministers. They offspring lieve today in Hungary/Slovakia and in USA. First Nadaskai-Nadaskys lived in Germany. After the 1600 century they moved to Hungary, so they were Hungarian citicen, and after the 2W who stayed and lived in Kosice, they got the Slovak citisenship, and who emigrated to USA, they are Americans (USA).
A few Nadaskay family  in the 1600 century - moved to Hungary/Kassa (Today is Kosice-Slovakia), but mostly Nadaskay families lived and live in Hunagary/BAZ country. North-West in Hunagary, Budapest, Switezerland, Australia, a few family lived and still live in Slovakia - Kosice, Nitra.
From O'Lublo (Stara Lubnova -Slovakia) 3-3 brothers and cusines they emigrated to USA in late 1800 and early 1900 years. They offspring lived and live in USA.
 

Famous People named Nadaskay

Gyorgy/George Nadaskay has a Hungarian Noble title - in 1689. Ha was a colonel in the "Ferenc Rakoczy"  army in 1703-1710 Hungary.
Andras Nadaskay 1687-1758 - Gyorgy son - he had a "Noble" title in 1756 from Maria Theresia Emperor, he was elected many times to be a 'HEAD OF JUSTICE" in GONC/Hungary.
Andras offspring LAJOS NADASKAY 1816-1850 -LAWYER - but he changed his occupatien to literature, and was a "Honderu" Magazin -  Editor, News-man, Opareas and musicals translater to Hungarian language and he was in the literature and the musical area very famous.
Lajos son - dr Bela Nadaskay 1848-1933, he was a professor in the Szent Istvan Veterinary University in Budapest. Ha and his family had a very close frendship with Ferenc Liszt -famous music komposer, Bela Nadaskay was a very talnted musishen - opera singer, but he choosed to be a VET. The Szent Istvan Veterinary Universiti - Budapest they still celebrating him as a "VERY TALENTED"  vet.doctor, teacher-professor. His bronz-statue are before the University-Anatomia bulding.  My husband Alajos Nadaskay is his great-grandson.
But I am sure, they are a lots of Nadaskay, who is very talanted in thise century and they live every where in the world. Hungary-Slovakia-USA.
