I don't have very many memories with my dad simply because I was so young when he passed on, but from what I do remember he was the most hard-working, caring, loving, best daddy anyone could ever have.
I was a daddy's girl. My dad was my best friend. My dad and I could easily talk for hours on end about the most random things. I was daddy's little princess. Every single day when I got home from school he would ask how I was, how school went, and if I wanted to talk. I remember just searching for him when I got home just so I could get one of my daddy's famous hugs.
It's been just about 10 years in June that he has been gone from my life, my whole families life. I'm 17 now. I'm just starting to start my grieving for him because I have missed all the daddy/daughter dances, activities, everything through out these 10 years. He is going to miss my prom, my wedding, the day I have my first child, every day for the rest of my life. I see little girls, girls my own age with their father's and I try not to show it, but it does kill me inside.
But now that I'm older, I do understand more. I do know I will see my dad again when its my time to go. I do know that he is watching over me wishing he could be with me just like I wish I could be with him every single day, every moment. I have had so many times where I just break down crying that he isnt here to help me through things like he used to. He hasn't been there when my heart got broken, but I know he is sending me love every single day. He is watching over me. He is my guardian angel. I love you daddy. I'll always be your little girl. Always
