[OBITUARY]
E. ORDISH.
It is with sincere regret we record the death of Mr. Edgar Ordish, a native of this town, who passed away very suddenly on Sunday morning, at the age of 65 years.
Deceased had ridden his bicycle out to visit a friend (Mr. O. Wanke), in Gladstone road, when on arrival he suddenly became ill and collapsed.
Deceased was a builder by occupation, and had been a resident of this town all his life, and has left a widow and one son to mourn their sad loss, and to whom we extend our sympathy.
The funeral, which was largely attended, took place on Monday afternoon, his remains being laid to rest in the Presbyterian portion of the Dandenong cemetery, there being a large number present to witness the last sad rites.
Deceased was an esteemed resident and a member of the Lodge of Sincerity, Dandenong Mark Lodge, and the Loyal Constant Lodge M.U.I.O.O.F.
The service at the home and graveside was conducted by the Rev. John Meers, and the Masonic service by the Wor. Master, Bro. F. W. Aumann, the chaplain (Bro. P. Smale), and director of ceremonies (Wor. Bro. L. Murray).
The pall-bearers were Messrs. F. Aumann, R. B. Brooks, J. Hehir, Cr. Butler, O. Wanke, P. Smale, R. Vizard, J. Kirkham, J. Mills and F. Reedy. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. W. J. Garnar.
