Name Origin

Puli Singa Raju is a famous fighter , he joined in Nawabs army latter he felt unhappy and joined in Vijayanagaram Soldiers. Once he killed a tiger with bear hands , hence he called as puli singa raju he hairs from PENMATSA family , lastly he resided in Relangi by marrying a kshatriy lady from that village.
Another Penmatsa family is Two brothers came from Rajasthan for want of settling , in mandapaka while they are travelling they met the local Kapus, the kopus noticed when they are walking their foot prints were special as chakram , hence they asked them to settle there and allotted the work of collecting revenues in the surrounding areas, they were called as mokasa penmatsa as their duty is to collect mokasa (revenue from farmers).

Both the family members hails in so many villages in Andhra Pradesh. The above said persons are the origins of penmatsa family as we know.

Originally the Penmatsa family came from Prudvi Raju Chowhan kingdom Present Peshavar in Pakisthan, they are residing in boarder areas of the kingdom, as mohmed gori made 18 attempts to defeat the prudvi Raju , he harrassed the border area people, hence they migrated to south india.
