My grandfather Josef Piegdon left Poland for Bueos Aires via Hamburg and New York in 1928/29. His son, my father, Julian Piegdon, born 1926, was left in Poland and saw never again his father Josef, who died 1965 in Buenos Aires (Temperley).
One of the cousins of my father Julian, Anton, was killed in a german concentration-camp during the second-world-war.
I , Alfred, am born in 1948 and live since 1958 in West Gemany near Cologne.

Meaning unknown. There ist no known meaning in the polish language. The origin of my part of the family is south-east Poland, in the towns: Sanok, Krakow, Jablonka.
Spellings & Pronunciations
When i lived in Poland, we wrote our name with an accent over the last letter "n". This polish letter doesn' t exist in the german language, where i live since 1958.
