Mr. Reeher graduated from New Castle High School at age 16 as the Valedictorian in 1932. After graduating as Valedictorian from Westminster College in 1936, he attended one year of law school at Duquesne and then entered the U.S. Army in August of 1942. During the war, he served in the 423rd Signal Company attached to the Air Force in England, France, and Germany, and was honorably discharged in December, 1945.
Following his war service, Mr. Reeher attended the University of Pittsburgh Law School where he received the Order of Coif and graduated in 1948. During a long and prestigious law career in Pennsylvania, he was the county’s District Attorney from 1954 to 1958; Assistant Solicitor for First Federal Savings and Loan from 1964 to 1970; and Solicitor for First Federal from 1970 to 1991. He retired from practice in 1991 at age 75 but continued to serve select clients well into his 80’s.
Perry's wife Nancy, whom he met at Westminster College and married in 1941, died from an accidental fall while traveling to his funeral in New Castle. He is survived by two sons, Thomas William, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and John Lee, of Wall, New Jersey, and three grandchildren.
