Maximilien (Max) REUTHEBUCH is the 7th child of the 14 children of Jean-Baptiste REUTHEBUCH, born Jun 21, 1832 in Radolfzell am Bodense (Kreis Konstanz, Bade Württemberg, Germany), son of unknown father and of Franziska REUTHEBUCH. He was shoemaker and was living in Strasbourg in Dec 1863, when he converted to Judaism. He was circumcised Dec 14, 1863 in Strasbourg by Simon BLUM of Bischheim (now a suburb of Strasbourg). He married 10 years after the 1st child (Ida, a girl born Mar 31, 1864 in Strasbourg), Amalia KIRSCHNER, a Jewish German young woman, born Mar 5, 1845 in Gross-Karben (Hessen, Germany. Both are buried in the Jewish cemetery of Koenigshoffen (Strasbourg). Sigmund, a younger brother, born Nov 28, 1876 in Strasbourg, arrived in NY at the age of 19, on Oct 7, 1895 (in the 1920 Census, he lives in Harrison, West Virginia). Maximilen was living at 2416 Tiebout Ave., Bronx, NY (the house, built about 1910, is stiil there). He married Anna REBSTEIN in Switzerland Sep 29, 1903. They did not have any children. Maximilien (Max) was tall 5 feet, 5 inches, his weight was 172 pounds, blue eyes and of fair complexion.
