Harry Robidere Jan 22, 1950 - Sep 1974
I first met Harry when were in the Boy Scouts together. I didn't see him for years, but I became a co-worker of his at the telephone company. We worked the night shift in the 4A Intertoll Frame Room. Harry was one of those people who seemed to have knowledge that comes from somewhere else; An old soul with wisdom beyond his years. Harry and I were roommates back in the '70s until he found a wife Debbie. He was a wild and crazy guy and a lot of fun. I can still hear the Led Zepplin, Dancing Days playing in my head. A moment caught in time. Harry was a very safe driver and I was shocked when I heard that he died in a car accident. I had sold him my Fiat Spider 850, but I heard that he was not driving it when he had the accident. Harry's wife survived the accident. Harry took me on my first trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We had driven my Fiat. We met up will Harry's friend Bill, who drove an MGA. "very cool". Three guys driving around New Orleans in sports cars at Mardi Gras. I am writing this so that he knows if he is looking down, that he is not forgotten. It has been 45 years now and I can still see him in my mind as if it were yesterday. Rest in Peace, if there is any, old friend. Maybe we will meet again, but not in Hell. One final note. You may not believe that we have an aura. A multicolor rainbow that surrounds us. But I can attest to the fact that we do. I saw Harry's aura on Bourbon St in 1972.
