Family history since 1319: Schemske was written before 1912 as Szczemski. The family is a member of Jastrzebiec, a Polish coat of arms community that has existed since 1319. Some of the members were part of the Polish nobility.
Its origin lies in the present Mazovia. The seat of the noble family of Jastrzębiec is a good with accompanying lock in the Polish community Konopnica (Wieluń), why are the emblem of the symbols of the Konopnica Jastrzębiec (horseshoes and Knight's Cross) included. The family was Jastrzębiec or is divided into several branches, although they have different last names, but wearing the same coat of arms. The name derives from Jastrzębiec jastrząb, the Polish word for hawk, so this is also the emblem of the Jastrzębiec.
The hawk sits in the jewel on the crown, and has a yellow horseshoe with a yellow knight's cross in the center of the claw, the sign of Jastrzebiec. In both legs of the hawk Radsporen are an indication of the Pferd.Sonst shows the jewel a knight's helmet, wearing a crown on his head and a gold chain with a gold amulet around his neck.
In the shield is a yellow horseshoe with a yellow knight cross at its center on a light blue background. Helmet covers yellow and blue. These are also the colors of the flag of Jastrzebiec are (identical with the Ukrainian flag, the flag of the Rurik has its origin). The national flag of Ukraine consists of two horizontal stripes in blue and yellow. It has its origin in the arms of the Varangian Rurik dynasty, from the 9th Century to 16th Century ruled Kievan Rus and later Russian Empire.
