My relationship to this surname starts with This relation from Southern France immigration to Acadian in the first half of the 1700s until the English claimed it this relative had a son Felix whom was captured by the English and was an indentured slave at the age of 12 . 10 years later the English ship he was on ported in new Orleans he was let go by his employer it took him 2 years to walk back to Canada he spent a winter in a French settlement near Boston he also found a wife sometime after being granted his freedom by the English. Without the benefit of a modern technology he ended up somewhere near Ottawa and obtained a land grant and had a bunch of kids all my relations
