Herman is the name of a very special teddy bear I treasure. It is named after one of the most gentle, kind man I ever had the honor of knowing. Uncle Herman was was my favorite of all the Shechtel family. Herman also had a daughter named Missy. When younger, she looked like Farah Facet. He had the spiritual qualities of softness and compassion. This happen to be lost on his son Stephen but that is another story. Herman Shechtel was a commander in the Navy. He was an extremely humble man. He spoke from a place of wisdom and I love him dearly 🙏

She was a firecracker! My Aunt Anita was small in stature and she possessed the strengh of a lioness. More male energy so perhaps lion. She was a social worker in Alston, Massachusetts. She fought for the down trodden and protested for what was socially right. Even arrested a few time. I love that part! A proud Jewish woman who loved her family deeply. Anita was a mother of one remarkable human by the name of Karen. Anita smoked a pipe and those thin cigars 😆 The woman was a little powerhouse. I believe she was married once however I, Irwin Soloman Shechtel's son do not remember her husband. She fought for rent control in Boston. When I was around 16 and really struggling it was she who would sit and talk with me. She cared deeply. Anita was my favorite Aunt only surpassed by the Angel of the family, my sweet Aunt Bess ❣️ Anita lived in a modest apartment with Karen and her mother Bella. They had a cat named Samantha. Samantha laid next to my Grandmother Bella for she was ill. Upon Bella's passing Samantha also passed. Let the memory and kegacy of my dear, proud warrior Anita Shechtel vibrate throughout the universe & illuminate galaxies.
