John was the only surviving son of Joshua Sherer and Prescilla Spencer. His mother later married Richard Peter and their only daughter Ann Peter married Detlev Bonaventura Eicke. John married Mary Fayting 17 Feb 1770 at St Mary Islington.
Harry was the youngest son of John Sherer and Mary Fayting. He was born in Camberwell, but lived in Maidstone Kent after being declared bankrupt in 1815. He was back in Camberwell when his daughter Emma was christened at St Giles Camberwell 18 Jul 1828, died there in 1842. He married Fanny Ellis at St Nicholas Boughton Malherbe, Kent 14 Jan 1815
