Jim was my grandfather although he was not related by blood. He married Elsie Hunnicutt and they adopted her sister's infant son, Russell Keith Leinberger, when his mother Ethel died at childbirth.
Jim wrote wonderful poetry, worked in the tax collectors office and also ran a gas station and liquor store. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. He was the first relative I lost and I was in junior high when he died. It was very hard and I cherish the desk that belonged to him and all his poetry books that I now have.
Elsie's middle name was Fern and her maiden name was Hunnicutt. She was born in Nebraska and moved to Xenia and Urbana Ohio area in her young adult hood when she married James Sidders. She was a teacher until she married and had a biological daughter Ethel Mae and an adopted son (who was the infant child of her sister Ethel) that she and James adopted when her sister died. His name was Russell Keith Leinberger but it was changed to Sidders when he was adopted. I am his daughter, Vicki. "Keith" married JoAnn Bahner in 1946 and they had three daughter, Keitha Jo (Strebel) Deborah
Lynn (Swigart) and Vicki Elaine (Rouse - divorced).
