History

After Russia conquered Bessarabia, it forcibly brought refugee families, poor but also wealthy in country.At that time, the daughter of the well-known Sultan Abdul Aziz, Saliha Sultan, was on a painting journey through Bessarabia, so she met one of the people brought, Sol Minjung, who was a refugee from Korea.For a year they lived a beautiful love story.Saliha gave birth to a baby boy but the next day the guards sent by her family took her back home.The girl didn't tell them what she had done in Bessarabia for so long, because she knew  if a princess had relations with an ordinary man, someone will die, and if they had a child, he would certainly not survive.Minjung had failed to discuss the child with Saliha because she had been taken. He didn't know how to name the boy, and  he heard from other people Saliha's last name was supposed to be Can, which is similar to "Chang" (which means "window" in Korean). Thats why the baby boy's family became Solcan, which means "Road to Light", and his name was Jacob Solcan.In 1875, after her return, she was forced to marry Ibrahim Hilmi Pasha,  the engagement was broken off, after the dismissal of her father.After that the girl had gone on a strange trip to Bessarabia which was completely secret.But even this time the guards brought her back to the palace to marry Ahmed Zülkefil Pasha, with whom she had a little girl who died at the age of six.Even though Saliha was married, she went on mysterious journeys from which she returned happy.
