Nationality & Ethnicity

The Stiso family originated in Italy.  Some of the original members who emigrated to the United States of America did so through Ellis Island at the turn of the 20th century and were brothers.  One of those brothers was the father of my grandfather.  According to stories he told me, there are still Stiso's living in the old country in the middle of Italy, near Naples. The Stiso family is of Italian extraction.
