My father told me that the name "Strakula" is Romanian in origin (like Dracula, for example).

According to my linguist father, any name that ends in "ula" is probably true Romanian. It also means that somewhere along the line, there's a Roman citizen in your family.

Nationality & Ethnicity

Romania. But remember that much of Eastern Europe was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire at one time. So, although both sides of my family are Polish, my father's surname (Strakula/Strakna) is of Romanian origin; whereas my mother's (Gellert) is Hungarian.
