Iwest Martin Strambler Jr was born on March 13, 1951 in Freeport, Brazoria, Texas, USA to parents Iwest Martin Strambler Sr (1925-1998) and Alice Marie Brown (1926-1996). He had siblings Charles Ray Strambler (1952-2007) and Sharon Diane Strambler (1959-2014).
On January 21, 1972 he married Rita Ann Lara (1954–2006) in Brazoria, Texas, USA. The couple had a son together and then divorced on September 12, 1973 after a short marriage.
Iwest then re married on March 15, 1974 to Dorothy F Clewis. They later seperated as well. He married one more time on February 2, 1984 in Portsmouth, Virginia, USA to Georgia Faye Jones.
Iwest Martin Strambler Jr. served in the US Navy and had two separate enlistment periods.
During his initial enlistment, Iwest Martin Strambler Jr. joined the United States Navy on January 11, 1980 and served until November 1, 1983, at which point he was discharged from active duty.
After a brief break in service, Iwest reenlisted in the Navy on November 2, 1983 and served again in the Navy until November 1, 1985, when he was discharged for the second time.
