Fred was born to Michael and Anna Woak. He had three siblings: Sophie, Michael, and Anna Mae. Fred grew up in the Youngstown area (Northside) until meeting his wife Jo-Ann. They then moved to Lancingville also know as the Southside of Youngstown where he stayed till his death in November of 2003. He was a life long resident and enjoyed the simple things in life. He liked sitting on the porch and spending time conversing with family and the high light of his life were his grandchildren! He was a sports fan and never missed a Cleveland Browns or Cleveland Indians game. He was intelligent beyond his years and had the ability to self educate and retain that knowledge, never forgetting it. He was genus when it came to numbers. His passion was carpentry and his work showcased his talent. He had the greatest sence of humor and loved to tell jokes, play pranks, and just laugh. His silliness could brighten your worst day. He was extremely devoted to his family and providing his children with the best education and sacrificed everything for them. He was a kind, loving, person and people always fell in love with him. He was the most loyal and faithful husband as well as a wonderful father. Everything he instilled in his family- the values, the morals, the religion, the blood, sweat, and tears did not go in vain, as he would be very proud in his children's and grandchildren accomplishments. He laid the foundation.
