Ziliankoff Family History & Genealogy

History

Michael grew up in San Diego, Calif.  He was a brilliant student, and a very hip guy.  While still in high school in the '60's,  his band, 'The Young", already had a recording contract with a major label.  Michael continued a life of music and worked with many famous people in the industry through out his life. Just a few of these people included, The Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffett, Kris Kristopherson, Bob Dylan, Tracy Chapman, Janis Ian, Shelby Lynn, and Bill Botrell. 
He was also loved horses and, at one time, was a part owner of the arabian stallion, Gadnsk.
He also dearly loved his mother, Elizabeth Patrovna Ziliankoff, who passed away of cancer, I think around 2008.
He worked out of LA, but retired in the late '90's to his hime in Ft. Bragg, Cailf., where he lived out the rest of his life, near the ocean in his own home in the redwoods.

Michael's father was Paul Ziliankoff, born in Russia. He died of a heart attack in San Diego at age 56,
Michael's mother was Elizabeth Catherine Patrovna Ziliankoff. She was born, I think, in chicago, while both her own parents were from Russia.
