Aunt Doris and Uncle Jim's Wedding
This is a picture of The Wedding Program for Aunt Doris and Uncle Jim. They were married on December 28, 1946. They had no children but my mother Caroline Thornhill used to tell me that they wanted to adopt me when I was born. It could be true as I was born in 1948 and at that time Mom and Dad had four older children at home so maybe Aunt Doris did say that. I'll never know but can't say why Mom would have told me that if not.

Arthur's marriage license to Charlotte Hepditch
Grandpa's Marriage License to Charlotte Hepditch. It reads Arthur Thornhill and Mrs. George Thornhill as she was first married to his brother, Wm George Thornhill, who was a captain and died at sea. They were married on February 16, 1906 as per Maine records but this certificate shows February 24, 1906. I guess we will never know for sure. Anyone have any further information?
