Kay loved my Dad and she was amazing in helping him grow up. They equally relied on each other to help balance their world. Kay was responsible for reuniting my dad and I, helping him see that I had turned okay without him, but I was going to be his oldest son if he showed interest in my like. It worked and my dad and I found a whole new appreciation for each other. Dad went through a lot in dealing with my brothers incarceration and the stress on Dad tore him down amid him wanting to believe the best outcome. It didn’t turn out well, and my dad’s health wasn’t good. After Dad died, Kay reached out to my mom and I to ask for money to help Tyler. That just wasn’t going to happen - as much as i wanted to help, Tyler aunt mine and he needed to grow up and take on his own responsibility. Anyhow, Kay pulled away from me,and the rest of the family. It wasn’t until i heard she was dying that i realized how bad things had gotten for her, but she had created her own opinion about me not helping Tyler and that I never called her (not true). She was unreachable by phone or email. I thought that perhaps hearing from me reminded her of Dad, so I left it alone. As she was dying, her sister finally tells me about Kay saying I had deserted them. Her family had taken charge of things and saw Kay’s versions as being gospel, so I just chose not to fight it and didn’t go to her funeral. Kay essentially wrote me out of the will and would up giving my Dads house and land to her niece! Pretty shitty, as that should have gone to Robert and I or Tyler. Mental illness and family dysfunction does bad thinks to families. That pretty much ended things. Her family left me, my brother, and Tyler out of Kay’s obituary - they had to have the last ,jab’ i guess.

Christmas Eve at Grandma’s house - the whole family would come! She and Aunt Nita would jack up their hair, and wear the most beautiful evening attire. Wow!
She was firm, but loving and the whole family seemed to orbit around her. When she died, the family splintered and it just wasn’t the same.

She was in a relationship with Reagan Pete Griffin, and had a child Carol Sue Griffin Fedro Hunt Griffin. Pete was a businessman and highly ethical in his work, deeply committed and loyal to his many customers. He was extremely kind and supported people who wanted to make something of themselves. He was proud of his country and internally emotional and caring. He was well-mannered. Pete loved gardening, especially known for the peaches and tomatoes he would give away. He spent his retirement mostly in the garden and greenhouse, right up until 3 days before his passing. He was old-fashioned in his values, and genuinely caring and a gentleman.
