Bernice Anna (Tabisz) Stearney of Chicago, Illinois United States was born on January 1, 1916 in Chicago, and died at age 68 years old on September 20, 1984 in Oak Lawn.
Bernice is my grandmother on my mom's side. Third in the birth order, two older siblings (brothers) died as babies. She worked at Westing house in Cicero IL. Her mom Aniela (Nellie) died when Bernice was only seven years old. Her dad remarried later. Bernice had 7 children with John Stearney. They moved out to Chicago Ridge, IL in 1950. She made the best Thanksgiving dinners. She died in 1984.
