My marriage to Butch was controlled and possessive right from the beginning. I had a little car when we started dating. A little 1976 2 door Ford Maverick. Nothing special but it was paid for. Butch convinced me to sell it before we got married by telling me he would buy me something else. That never happened. The only vehicle he had was owned by his sister and brother-in-law and their drapery business. I was not allowed to drive that vehicle. After we married he started a business that he said was to take care of me. I wanted no part of it. Possessive and controlling.
