Milton Charles Nathan of Berkley, Michigan United States was born on December 5, 1921, and has a brother George W Riederer.
Milton, my Father was born to Charles Nathan and Leah Light on December 5, 1921 in (I believe) Detroit, MI. Siblings were Lawrence, Dyron, Frederick, Paul, Donna, there may have been other females. Parents divorced, some of the siblings were sent out to relatives, neighbors and foster homes. Milton was fostered out to as many as 9 homes. He attended Berkley High School but did not graduate. He married Joan Amelia Beaudry, his high school sweetheart in 1939, they lived in Troy. They settled in Berkley where after serving the USA in WWII they raised a family of 4: Dyanne(5/39), Michael(11/43), Kathryn(4/48), and Timothy(7/55). Milton worked for American Beverage, as a firefighter and truck mechanic with the City of Berkley he was instrumental in unionizing the fire department. Milt also worked as a roofer, carpenter and a machinist. He enjoyed the outdoors - hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. In his retirement he continued working part-time as a machinist for Fox Aluminum. He also loved his bearded collie, “Sassy”.
