I met him for just a few minutes but they were a great few minutes. I was in a men's clothing store years later and I recognized a TEXACO MAN, I said, "Step right up folks, I'll tell ya what I'm gonna do!" His jaw dropped! You recognize me from that show?!" "You were great! I looked forward to seeing you every week!" Sid Stone was so happy he started to cry. I gave him a tribute too.

Milton Berlinger "Milton Berle" was known to a generation as "Uncle Miltie". He was the host of Texaco Star Theater (1948 - 1955) on NBC. The show at one point had 80% of viewers on Tuesday nights. Many considered one of the highlights of his show to be when he appeared in women's clothing, a wig, and makeup.

Later in his career, he appeared on Saturday Night Live, The Muppet Show, The Barbara Stanwyck Show, The Lucy Show, The Jackie Gleason Show, Get Smart, Laugh-In, The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, The Hollywood Palace, Ironside, F Troop, Fantasy Island, and The Jack Benny Show. He WAS Mr. Television!
