100 Years: Jerusalem Community Church *
The Jerusalem community, established in 1906, located west of Washington, near Cole, consists of a small cemetery and an old church sitting on a small acreage. The school was consolidated in 1939.

The earliest grave marked at the cemetery was one of Greta Walker, with date of burial was October 13,1910. The small cemetery carries a rich history of the community and its beginnings, with family names such as Walker, Goff, Eason, Bradford, Barnett, Smith, Daniels, Gentry, Holloway, and one marked “Stranger from Washington”.
