(3) Ann (Seely) Norval Abernathy (1808-1884) of Ralls County and Putnam County, Missouri
I want to thank Marlene Hudson for this picture. Ann Seely, daughter of John Nichols Seely and his wife, Katherine Brinker, first married Parker Norval in 1838 in Putnam Co, MO. They had at least six children: Martha J., George, Francis Marion, Sarah, Susan, and Andrew. It is thought Parker died in 1850. Marriage records show that Hannah Norval married Kelam Abernathy on 22 July 1860. Yet, on 18 Sep 1860, Ann Norval, 45, was censused with two of her children and others in the home of George W. Seely, 70, a widower and her brother. By 22 Sep 1860, Ann and Kelom Abernathy were selling property. It is not believed they had children. Kelam died in 1875. Ann died of pneumonia on 21 March, 1884 in Unionville, Putnam Co, MO. For more information, see my site on www.rootsweb.com.
