Anton became an United States Citizen June 28, 1951 In Santa Clara County, CA. He served in the Yugoslavian, Swedish, and US Merchant Marines between approx. 1937 and 1952. He then made a career as a hod carried and learned the brick-laying craft. He worked side jobs building BBQs, fireplaces, walkways, brick plantars, etc. He could build almost anthing out of brick or wood!
Verna was born in San Jose, CA, worked in the canneries in Santa Clara County as a cutter, and had a passion for reading. Their children are: Frances Elizabeth 1947, Linda Ann 1950, and Samuel Thomas 1957.
