I am looking for the parents of Orphan Train Rider, Bert (Bertrand) Conrad (b.1885-d.1978). He was taken in by the James and Nellie McGarry family of Storm Lake, Iowa between about 1885-1890. The McGarry family had 6 natural daughters and 3 natural sons. One of their daughters was Margaret (McGarry) Demers (b.1907). On March 10, 1909, Bert married Beatta Julia Rogne (b.1889-d.1946)(Beatta was the daughter of Peter Rogne (b.1856-d.1891) and Julia Knudtson (later Julia Ness)(b.1867-d.1946)) Bert and Beatta lived south of Rembrandt Iowa where they had five daughters: Gladys (my grandmother), Pearl, Opal, Viola, and Doris.
