Elizabeth is the firstborn daughter of John Bohl (1904-1988) & Lydia Sara Kahler Bohl (1905-1995). Groom Fred Walter Vallis (1923-1976)is the firstborn son of Walter Alfred Vallis (1899-1975) and Mary Elva Ross Vallis (1903-1976). Together, Elizabeth & Fred raised their family in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Greetings. I am a part-time family historian researching my Russian-born German family roots. By invitation of Catherine the Great, my German ancestors immigrated to Russia, settling in the Huck and Norka colonies in Saratov, Russia. During the late 1800's and early 1900's emigration from Russia brought my family lines to the United States and Argentina. Primary surnames of interest include: BOHL, KAHLER, STERKEL, SCHULTHEIS OR SCHULDEIS, FEUERSTEIN, ZITTERKOPF OR ZITTERKOPH, SCHLEUNING, SPREIER AND HUCK.
